I would be nervous, too.

But there's a shortage of teachers, right? I'm guessing it wouldn't be hard to get back into teaching if you someday decided you wanted to. Or substitute teaching--I know some people who make a career of being substitutes.

I could definitely go back if I needed to, and that would not be sad at all; I can already feel myself missing my students, though it would be nice if I could do writing for long enough to not have to pay for childcare because it was a bit depressing to work so hard and have daycare and aftercare eat such a huge chunk of that.
